          Seeing: richly, vibrantly purple jacaranda trees in full bloom

          Tasting: pizza - we ended up eating a fair bit of pizza during our trip

          Hearing: the swish of the river & the rush of the traffic

          Touching: raindrops on my skin, the breeze in my hair & the sun on my face

          Smelling: fragrant blooms, coffee shops & the city when it rains

an unexpected visitor | brisbane

Whilst in Brisbane we spent a morning at the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens, finishing with morning tea at the cafe. As we were getting ready to leave, someone arrived to deal with our cake crumbs for us...

...we've been having some lovely spring weather, sunny & mild, although I'm sure it will be warming up soon...

...we left for Brisbane, had an awesome time & were very happy to be home...

a day at the market | november

A gloriously warm, sunny, blue-skied day for November's market - perfect late spring weather. Hilda - Mum's dress-form - came to market with us, to model one of our new aprons & I think she did a reasonable job. We had a lovely time & we're already planning for next month :)

Life feels like it has been very busy lately - work & market preparation & appointments & such. I will start sharing some Brisbane posts soon, just been getting my head around what to post & which photos - we took so many. Which is awesome, but kind of daunting...

Something I thought about during my month of mornings project was trying to visually capture the difference between the seasons. We don't have snowy winters, or lots of autumn colour - most of the trees around here don't even loose their leaves in winter. If only I'd thought about it enough to take a photo in the same spot every season....still, I have a few examples of the way plants & places change with the seasons...
