arid beauty | australian arid lands botanic garden

Spent a lovely - extremely windy, but still lovely - morning wandering around the Arid Lands Botanic Garden last weekend. It's very different to the mental picture of lush greenery that the words 'botanic garden' conjure up (at least in my head), but there is still a lot of beauty to be enjoyed.

Lush plant-life, flowing water, plenty of birds, lizards & sunshine - a lovely morning spent at the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens. Also, a morning tea-time encounter.

Whilst in Brisbane we spent a morning at the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens, finishing with morning tea at the cafe. As we were getting ready to leave, someone arrived to deal with our cake crumbs for us...

I didn't mean to stop posting photos from my Melbourne trip, I kind of just got involved in other things. I have a list (somewhere) of posts I wanted to do. Now that I've reminded myself, I shall have to find it & actually post some of them.
