flinders street market | april

We had a wonderful weekend at the Flinders Street Market - gorgeous bright, autumnal weather, lovely people & plenty of interesting things to see. I was very happy with how our stall tuned out - we decided to have a bigger space & filled it not just with my jewellery, but Mum's crochet berets, embroidery art & flower accessories, Kathryn's felt clips & brooches, zentangle cards & our painted bags & aprons.

Not entirely sure when our next time at the Flinders Street Market will be - probably late May or early June - I'll keep you posted :)

in a fog...

One morning last month we woke to a quiet, fog-shrouded town - beautiful & slightly eerie. Kathryn was already out with the camera & once she was done, I went for a meander around the yard to take some photos of my own...

recently...

...we've had a nice mix of warm & cool days - gorgeous, sunny weather for the Folk Fair weekend & beautiful, welcome rain for the last few days...

...travelled to Adelaide for Kathryn's graduation ceremony - very, very proud of her :) ...

...we welcomed a bundle of furry gorgeousness, aka Miss Holly...

...had a stall at the Flinders Street Market, as well as our regular Wirrabara outing (back at Flinders Street all weekend this weekend & Wirrabara on Easter Sunday)...

...shared some exciting (& scary) plans...

...some impressions & images from Writers' Week + one more from Queensland...

...finally defrosted & consumed the cheesecake & apple cake left from Christmas time - can't believe we left it so long, baked some honey cookies the other day too, always a good thing...

...some beads & earrings on my bench recently + been playing with some polymer clay + one more new listing...

...& a little soft dreaminess to finish.

off on a most excellent adventure...

...yup, that would be me.

This May & June I will be visiting Paris, Munich, Berlin, Warsaw, Lodz, Krakow & Prague...I'm excited & nervous (aka terrified) in roughly equal proportions - this will be my longest/biggest solo trip & my first time overseas. There's still heaps to organise, but things are being booked, so this seems to actually be happening.

I'm planning lots of walking, museum & gallery visiting, caf├ęs, photography, day trips, walking tours, maybe a class or two? - I want to have an itinerary, but with lots of room for going with what I feel like - the best (& scariest) bit about travelling by myself is that it's all up to me!

Have you ever been to Europe? Got any tips, tricks, un-missable things? I'd love to read about them :)

a few good things...

1. Miss Holly - she's a few good things, all by herself.
2. some salvia, providing a nice pop of colour in the garden.
3. Happy Birthday to my beautiful Mum - Amy made an awesome cake as part of our celebrations.
4. new (purple) walking shoes.
5. foggy, misty mornings.
6. dreams & schemes & plans - trying to get things organised.
7. a soft knit sweater & some colourful tank tops.
