a day at the market | march

Perfect autumnal weather for our first Wirrabara Producers' Market of the year - a cool morning which gradually warmed up, with blue skies, sunshine & a slight breeze to stop it getting too hot.

The market didn't feel super busy, but business was good, morning tea was delicious (fig, almond & coconut slice, yum), we came home with apples, fresh bread, honey, cucumbers & a gorgeous dahlia, the stall looked good & it was just a generally lovely morning.

A bit of a hot & blustery day for the December Wirrabara Producers Market, but there were still plenty of people out & about, buying up gorgeous local fruit & veg for Christmas.

Our stall looked lovely & colourful - fortunately the wind didn't manage to run away with our cover or stock - & we had some lovely customers, caught up with some friends, were given some lollies by santa & even managed to get in quick enough to come home with some cherries this year.

arid beauty | australian arid lands botanic garden

Spent a lovely - extremely windy, but still lovely - morning wandering around the Arid Lands Botanic Garden last weekend. It's very different to the mental picture of lush greenery that the words 'botanic garden' conjure up (at least in my head), but there is still a lot of beauty to be enjoyed.

2. my new, handmade purse - locally made & purchased at the farmer's market.

3. the pink crepe myrtle is flowering now too.

5. late afternoon light can make almost anything look pretty.

6. this delicious tart - ganache, berry curd & mascarpone cream - dreamed up & cooked by Kathryn.
7. the t-shirt I bought last time I was in Melbourne.
