The August Break

August is just about to start (how did that happen?), so it's time for another August Break!

I'll be playing along with (some of) the prompts over on instagram & post a bit of whatever I feel like here - there may be less posts, or more, don't know yet. I'll probably do some sort of wrap-ups of my insta photos like last year (but maybe differently) + some other stuff (I have such a way with words, I know)...

Autumn has arrived - warm days, cool nights & crisp mornings, although I wouldn't be surprised if we got another round of heat. What we're waiting for though, is rain...

Many faces (or hands, or feet...).

Lots of exciting things coming up at the Flinders Street Market.

Snowy magic. The beauty of winter on film. Sparkling sunshine & ocean blues. Spring-time in Paris (+ here). Magic mountaintops. Rosy beauty.

Too many baked things I'd like to try - lemon, poppyseed & blueberry streusel pound cake, overnight spiced sugar buns, zucchini pistachio bread, rosemary soda bread, double chocolate banana muffins (although I have made these once already, I'd be quite happy to eat some again...). Anyone feel like baking?

Another reason that music is awesome.

2. golden late afternoon/early evening sunshine.
3. a good read.

4. colourful supplies + nice light.

5. soft, cool, pastel coloured mornings.

6. taking jewellery photos (& getting listings done), with a certain furry cutie to keep me company.

7. mandala/zentangle type creation in progress.

1. morning sunlight (& blossoms).

2. working on some new fine silver jewellery.

3. new books from the library.

4. jewellery & fairy lights on our stall at the Flinders Street Market last month.

5. blossoms blossoming (& afternoon light) - very happy it's spring.

6. a big batch of chocolate biscuits.

7. new things from a fun shopping trip - soft shirts & a stripy top.

The August Break

August is just about to arrive (already??!!!) & I'm joining in with the August Break again this year.

I'm aiming to post a photo for every daily prompt on my instagram & here on the blog will be, well I haven't quite decided, other than a weekly-ish wrap up of the instagrams, a few of the photos from my trip & perhaps a few things that have been lurking in my archive. And that's what the August Break is all about really - letting go of whatever pressures or expectations you feel about blogging & just having fun with it :)
