The August Break

August is just about to start (how did that happen?), so it's time for another August Break!

I'll be playing along with (some of) the prompts over on instagram & post a bit of whatever I feel like here - there may be less posts, or more, don't know yet. I'll probably do some sort of wrap-ups of my insta photos like last year (but maybe differently) + some other stuff (I have such a way with words, I know)...

recently...

...we've started getting some properly cold wintry weather, including some big frosts (frozen pipes! ugh), although the frosty morning have been tuning into sunny days. Hoping for some more rain soon too...

...the local community gym is up & running - we've been walking down a few mornings a week (lucky it's only two blocks) to work out - it's going well so far & we're planning to keep it up...

...not a huge number of things flowering in the garden this time of year, the salvias put on a good show though...

...I've gotten a bunch of new pieces listed in my etsy shop...

...& I've been experimenting, making wire components for some sun catchers - planning to have them ready  for our upcoming weekend at Flinders Street market...

...had a really lovely girls day out with my Mum & sisters the other day - Mum used her birthday voucher & got her nails done & then we spent the rest of the day eating, browsing, shopping & relaxing...

...numerous people have been baking recently - we've had carrot cake, pineapple upsidedown cake, banana cake & of course birthday cake...

...still enjoying faffing around with bits of things in the afternoon light on my window sill...

...finally starting to sort through my Europe photos & choosing some to share - I'll get there eventually!
