{ 2014 }

2014 was a pretty amazing year for me, full of adventures & new experiences. There's no way I could ever write about everything that happened, so here's a selection of the highlights...

Without a doubt, the biggest thing that happened during 2014 was my Europe adventure - four countries, seven cites, train rides, castles, five weeks on my own & I have so many photos to share...& as if that wasn't enough travelling, my sisters & I headed off on a road-trip, seeing a bit of our own country...the year did start with a bit of a scare, and then plenty of rain...we welcomed a new addition to the family, followed along as one brother visited Japan & another went to Bali...I did plenty of jewellery making - fine silver, polymer, copper clay - lots of new pieces created, continued attending the Wirrabara Producers Market & started at the Flinders Street Market...visited &/or re-visited some beautiful local places, started playing on instagram...& finished the year with a fun family Christmas trip, including Holly's first visit to the beach...

{ 2013 }

Somehow the past year seems to have gone by incredibly quickly, yet last January feels like forever ago. 2013 had it's ups & downs & challenges, but I think it was a positive year over-all, with plenty of good experiences. So here are a few of the things I remember most from the year...

One of the most exciting things this year was our trip to Queensland for my cousin's wedding, plus a little holiday...seeing Josh Groban in concert in Adelaide was pretty awesome, as was listening to some favourite authors at Writer's Week...I really enjoyed my month of mornings project...stuck to my goal of posting on the blog every second day, created/adopted/continued some series of posts I quite like & enjoyed the August Break...had fun baking & found a few new family favourites...made a bit of jewellery - some silver clay, some beading, made some new textures & molds, started experimenting with firing base-metal clays, played with some polymer clay & leaves...did a bit of sketching & zentangling, along with a bit of a painting project...the Bowerbird Bazzar is always inspiring & speaking of markets, have really enjoyed our stall at the local producer's market, plus getting into some different crafts - printing bags & aprons, making felt ornaments...various forest adventures, one or two of them quite damp...& finished the year with a lovely, quiet family Christmas...

{ 2012 }

a scattering of memories from the past year...

I blogged more, began a photographic project & dealt with an incredibly sad event ... had fun at writer's week (here too) & was very lucky... twice, made some jewellery, climbed a mountain & met an interesting local on the way down, fell in love with a new technique, made some more jewellery ... played with some colourful thread & had fun visiting the Bowerbird Bazaar ... got an awesome birthday present, ran the City-to-Bay, spent some time with my godmother, learned to rivet & gave the blog a makeover ... (almost) got lost, had a bit more luck, cleaned up my desk, spent some time with my sisters - being silly, what else?, had a wonderful family christmas & finished my photographic project (on the last day of the year)...

so goodbye 2012 & hello 2013, here's to lots more adventures...

that which has been...

2011 was a pretty good year, with lots of fun, happy times - getting featured in SA Life, seeing Wicked, finishing the City-to-Bay, taking photos, making some jewellery (including this necklace), spending nearly a week in Melbourne (still more posts to come!), attending Tim McCreight's workshop & catching up with some lovely fellow jewellers, getting some film developed (still have some other shots to share, too) - & some sadness too.

So, goodbye 2011 & hello 2012, I can't wait to see what this year brings.
