sisters head east...

My sisters & I are off on an adventure - a road trip, first to Mt Gambier, then along the Great Ocean Road to Apollo Bay, followed by Melbourne, staying for a few days in each place. We're coming home via Broken Hill, so that we can catch up with our sister & niece.

We're planning twelve days of waterfalls, bush walks, amazing scenery, good food, plenty of photographs, fun, early mornings, exploring, a little shopping & lots of laughter.

You can follow our adventures on our tumblr, as well as my instagram & tumblr, with possibly a few posts here & on Kathryn's blog.

This blog + facebook will be pretty quiet & also, my etsy shop will be closed for the fortnight.

a walk in the (national) park | Alligator Gorge

We had gorgeous weather over the Easter weekend & spent Good Friday exploring Alligator Gorge. It was the perfect day for it - mild & a little sunny, with a nice breeze - & we thoroughly enjoyed our wander, listening to birdsong, enjoying nature & being awe-struck at the magnificent scenery.

After enjoying the views from the look-outs, we ventured down the stairs into the gorge, walked along the terraces, followed the path (&/or creek bed) through the gorge - marvelling at the vast, layered walls (& the trees & grasses managing to grow there) - & climbed back up to the top for lunch.

It was an altogether lovely way to spend the day...

off on a most excellent adventure...

...yup, that would be me.

This May & June I will be visiting Paris, Munich, Berlin, Warsaw, Lodz, Krakow & Prague...I'm excited & nervous (aka terrified) in roughly equal proportions - this will be my longest/biggest solo trip & my first time overseas. There's still heaps to organise, but things are being booked, so this seems to actually be happening.

I'm planning lots of walking, museum & gallery visiting, cafés, photography, day trips, walking tours, maybe a class or two? - I want to have an itinerary, but with lots of room for going with what I feel like - the best (& scariest) bit about travelling by myself is that it's all up to me!

Have you ever been to Europe? Got any tips, tricks, un-missable things? I'd love to read about them :)
