off on a most excellent adventure...
...yup, that would be me.
This May & June I will be visiting Paris, Munich, Berlin, Warsaw, Lodz, Krakow & Prague...I'm excited & nervous (aka terrified) in roughly equal proportions - this will be my longest/biggest solo trip & my first time overseas. There's still heaps to organise, but things are being booked, so this seems to actually be happening.
I'm planning lots of walking, museum & gallery visiting, cafés, photography, day trips, walking tours, maybe a class or two? - I want to have an itinerary, but with lots of room for going with what I feel like - the best (& scariest) bit about travelling by myself is that it's all up to me!
Have you ever been to Europe? Got any tips, tricks, un-missable things? I'd love to read about them :)

Magazine feature...
I had some exciting news this week - I (& my jewellery) have been featured in SA Life magazine! I'm part of a feature called 'Designing Divas' about South Australian jewellery/accessory makers.
I was contacted last year & then had an email last week to tell me the story was happening. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that I was the first 'diva' in the feature - & those are my earrings on the first page :)

the two jewellery photos are by me & my sister Amy took the ones of me working on some jewellery.

Congratulations sis :)
My younger sister Kathryn had some wonderful news yesterday morning...she's been offered a place in the Advanced Diploma of Arts (Professional Writing) at TAFE. She's a wonderful writer, full of imagination & you can read some snippets of her writing on her blog.
If you have a minute there are some lovely things to read there & when she's famous, you can say you knew her when ;)
& I'm only slightly biased, promise XD

New Business Cards

using my brothers' drawing tablet, which was challenging, but fun.
& rather excitingly, my lampwork pendants are now being carried by a gallery in Riverton. I met the owner of the gallery at a workshop last year & went down on Friday to deliver some. They were very enthusiastically received, which was a real buzz.
We're all busy getting ready for the Folk Fair, which is on the 4th & 5th of April. Lots of new stock the price, input & find room for in the shop. Not to mention putting together a new display for my jewellery in the space under the counter.
