Another lovely morning at the Wirrabara Market. It was suitably wintery, but the dark skies must have scared the people away because it was very quiet.
Still, we had a great day, hard not to when you have good company and hot spring rolls for morning tea! Plus, Mum and I seem to be getting the hang of setting up the market by ourselves, just in time for Vickie coming home.

a day at the market | may
It was our first market without Market Master Vickie and although we had a bit of trouble figuring out how to fit everything and it took us longer than normal to setup, the stall looked great.
We had a good day overall, the sun came out and it was unusually warm for a May morning. People milled about all morning and we enjoyed the best pizzas that have ever graced the market, seriously they were so yummy!
Mum and I have lots of work to do for our next market - Flinders Street Market on the 1st of June! If you’re in the city on the weekend, come check it out. :)

a day at the market | april
A totally glorious autumn day for this month's Wirrabara Producers market, a cool (cold) early morning, followed by a mild, sun-shiny late morning & afternoon. It was also Easter Sunday & along with the sunshine came lots & lots of people to buy produce, chat & enjoy the atmosphere.

a day at the market | march
Another lovely market day - started out grey & rainy (although we didn't get too wet, thankfully), with scattered sunny patches & by the time we were packing up it was a cool but sunshiny day. A little quiet perhaps, but plenty of people braved the weather & we had a lovely time.
It was also the twelve-month anniversary of our first Wirrabara Producers Market stall :)

a day at the market | february
Not your typical summer's morning for the market this month - it was cold, grey & damp, luckily it did (slowly) warm up & the sun even came out eventually. No-one was really complaining though, considering the month this region has had & with January's market cancelled due to the fire, everyone was grateful for the cool & rainy change (we do seem to be having a summer of extremes - after not only the fire, but it being around or over 40C for weeks - there was not just rain, but flooding). And it very nicely did not rain during market, despite the clouds.
So, a good market - new aprons, I think we're getting better at setting up our stall well, lots of people, spring rolls for brunch, hot tea & coffee, catching up with some friends...

vegging out
Had some fun with Mum & Kathryn, painting some aprons with colourful veggie designs - using a selection of vegetables as stamps + a couple of the designs have fun little sayings stencilled on them.
We'll be taking these to the Wirrabara Producer's Market today...
all of these photos (except the last), taken by Kathryn + see more here.
