christmas treats...
This year we have made chrusti for a special christmas treat...
Chrusti are a Polish 'biscuit' - sweet pastry, rolled thin, twisted, deep-fried & then covered in icing sugar.
They are very light & easy to eat (possibly not such a good thing ;) & these are coming to adelaide with us - part of Babcia's christmas present.

hair today, gone tomorrow...

So, anyway, last week I got my hair cut:
I've had it this short before, but not for ages - I think the last time was 2007. Every now & then I just get sick of my long hair & get it cut.

buttoned-up...
This piece was supposed to be a copper button...but instead evolved into a brooch (it's a gift for someone special, but I'm not sure if she reads this blog, so I won't say any more).
I still plan to make some buttons - I think a handmade button would be a wonderful finishing touch to a jacket, vest or bag.
this last shot includes a sort-of-peak at some of the other pieces from this batch of copper. The rest of the pieces were only fired yesterday & are currently getting nice & shiny in the tumbler....pictures to come :)

Pretty Pink Tuesday returns...
Once upon a time there was a group on Flickr posting pinkified photos to a set theme every Tuesday. It was a lot of fun but eventually the group ran out of steam & closed :(
So, imagine our delight when a certain (slightly) mad Englishman decided to revive Pretty Pink Tuesday, giving us an excuse to once again upload (slightly) mad photos to Flickr.
