...in the light of what once was...
Just a few more photos of the old flour mill - I used it as the backdrop for one of my teleidoscope photos. As I said here, I would have loved to be able to get closer, but it's fenced off for safety reasons.
& I promise I didn't climb any fences for the last two shots - I simply focused through one of the gaps.

in a spin...
Earlier this month I was thrilled & honoured to find out that I'd won the 'Undiscovered Treasure' category in the 2012 DUST (Down Under Street Team) awards!
& what has a cute pincushion to do with this you ask? Well, not only did I get a huge thrill, I got a prize too!
This delightful mini pincushion, made by the lovely Shelley from Spincushions.
It's so gorgeous & beautifully made. My sister even tried to steal it after I got her to hold it for the photo.
& there are lots more lovely ones in the Spincushions etsy shop, like the sunflower below:

beaded...
recently I've been playing with beads, making some necklaces & earrings for the shop/markets. I took advantage of the lovely sunlight on my window sill this afternoon & took a few photos.

tower { the teleidoscope }
An edible tower of stars for week #9 of The Teleidoscope - Tower.
I baked spiced shortbread stars, as well as plum jam-filled shortbread cresents? half-moons? half-rounds?...they were a much more defined shape before they were baked.
Even though I wasn't sure how they'd turn out (I just decided to put the jam in the middle) & regardless of the shape, the jam ones are the definite favourites & won't last much longer :)
