a day at the market | june

Another lovely morning at the Wirrabara Market. It was suitably wintery, but the dark skies must have scared the people away because it was very quiet.

Still, we had a great day, hard not to when you have good company and hot spring rolls for morning tea! Plus, Mum and I seem to be getting the hang of setting up the market by ourselves, just in time for Vickie coming home.

Creative Beading | magazine feature

I’m thrilled to be able to tell you Vickie has been featured in the latest issue of Creative Beading {Vol 10 No6}.

Creative Beading is a great magazine filled with some beautiful projects, with step-by-step instructions, if you’re interesting in giving beading a try. {It’s how Vickie started out!}

Vickie has a full page with photos of her jewellery and a sweet write up about her. We’re all pretty wrapped. Vickie hasn’t seen it yet, it’s tough being in Europe, isn’t it? ;)

bonjour | Paris

Vickie is currently in Poland and about half way through her amazing adventure. So, I thought I'd share a few of the shots she's been sharing on her tumblr of Paris, the first stop on her trip.

1. view from Sacre-Coeur // 2. Citrus tart // 3. Arc de Triomphe // 4. Jardin du Luxembourg // 5. and Jardin du Luxembourg, again // 6. Musee d’Orsay

a day at the market | may

It was our first market without Market Master Vickie and although we had a bit of trouble figuring out how to fit everything and it took us longer than normal to setup, the stall looked great.

We had a good day overall, the sun came out and it was unusually warm for a May morning. People milled about all morning and we enjoyed the best pizzas that have ever graced the market, seriously they were so yummy!

Mum and I have lots of work to do for our next market - Flinders Street Market on the 1st of June! If you’re in the city on the weekend, come check it out. :)
