there & back again...

We're home from our sisterly (ad)venture - we had a wonderful time, saw some stunning scenery, did plenty of walking (some parts more difficult than others), ate some really good food, laughed alot, did a bit of shopping & just generally enjoyed ourselves.

flinders street market | september

Back at Flinders Street Market on a lovely (if somewhat windy) spring weekend. Along with my jewellery, Mum & Kathryn's new name for their market stall/handmade goods 'Hollipotamus' had it's first outing & we continued to tweak & improve our layouts & displays.

Apart from forgetting to pack the camera (apologies for the slightly grainy iPhone photos) our set up went well & we had a good weekend - including getting some henna 'tattoos' & enjoying some yumminess from The Lunch Lady.

We won't be making it to Flinders Street during October (something to do with half of us being off on a road-trip), but stay tuned for our November dates.

recently...

...we had a warm, spring-like end to winter (right up to the last day) & a cold, rainy start to spring - heading into some warmer weather at the moment, but I'm sure it will go up & down a few more times...

...very much enjoying all the blossom that's starting to appear...

...busily helping to plan the road-trip my sisters & I are going on in mid-October...

...had lots of fun with August Break again this year & really enjoyed posting daily on instagram...

...we went to the Flinders Street Market again, and along with having a stall, I got to spend time getting my hands dirty, making a dinosaur out of terracotta clay...

...speaking of making - a batch of silver precious metal clay in progress...

...plenty of baking in the last while - several versions of these biscuits (recipes soon), rustic rye muffins to go with minestrone, birthday cake for my youngest brother, banana cake (because we had some frozen bananas), lemon blondies & anzac biscuits...

...started posting some photos from my travels (+ quite a few here), many, many more to come - I'll even work out some words to go with some of them eventually...

...& lots of market/product/business plotting & planning.

August Break was lots of fun again this year & I really enjoyed following the prompts on my instagram, along with some posts here & I have loved seeing all the different interpretations people have posted.

cupcakes & dinosaurs...

Had a fabulous time at the Flinders Street Market on the weekend. On Saturday I spent a fair portion of the day getting my hands dirty at the Making Creatures from Clay workshop in the centre of the market. Naomi from Wonkie Knee Art & Susanna from really useful pots ran the workshop & the lovely Rene from the Sunshine Van provided us with yummy chocolate cupcakes to keep our strength up :)

I was attempting to create a dragon, but it somehow morphed into a cute stegosaurus-type dinosaur creature as I worked. He went home with Susanna to dry out & get fired (that doesn't sound right, lol) - can't wait to see him finished. Any name suggestions for the little guy?
