sketchy...

I recently picked up my pencil & sketchbook again (for the first time in ages) & was reminded how much I enjoy just going out & drawing. Kind of like with zen-tangling, sometimes it's nice to do something that is creative simply for it's own sake (although sketching requires a bit more concentration).

So far, I've drawn a few inanimate objects & dodged the rain for some nature-y subjects...

Ah, so it's been somewhat more than a week since my first sketching post. 

& to be honest, I haven't actually done much sketching in the last fortnight.  I have been away & then sick (on the mend now), so I'm not too disappointed.

These aren't quite all I've done, but I'm going with only posting the ones I like best. (they are in chronological order here, my favourite is the one below)

early this year one of my brothers challenged me to sketch every day. I started, but didn't last very long.

I've decided to start again & as long as I manage most days, I'll be happy. & there will be days I miss.
like today.
& some days I might do something else creative instead...

I'm also going to try blogging them each week - I haven't decided if it will be all the sketches each week, or just my favourites.
