recently...

...completed week 2 of my month of mornings project...

...& was very happy to have a spectacular sunrise the morning I took the camera on my walk...

...have been enjoying some very warm (for late May) weather - ready for some rain though...

...posted a plethora of pendants, to go with the dangle of earrings...

...shared a few of my zentangles...

...spent a couple of days in Adelaide with Mum, visiting my Babcia, the Japanese gardens & going to the Bowerbird Bazaar...

...tried a few new recipes - I've made gnocchi, polenta (minus the chilli), baked mushrooms...oh, & posted a biscuit recipe over on the shop blog...

Bowerbird Bazaar

On Sunday Mum & I spent a couple of hours wandering around the Bowerbird Bazaar, at the Adelaide Showground. I even remembered the camera this year. Not that I took lots of photos - too crowded for one thing, not to mention too busy looking at all the gorgeous goodies on offer.

As well as all the wonderful jewellery, ceramics, clothes, art, accessories, homewares etc (there are some seriously clever & creative people out there), I loved the fairy lights, florals on the tables & the big blackboard wall.

...sunrise yesterday - worth the early rising & cold fingers + week #2 of my project is almost done :)

...my new (gorgeous & soft) jumper arrived yesterday too - proper photos soon.

...Mum & I are off to Adelaide in the morning - going to the Bowerbird Bazaar & to spend some time with my Babcia

...speaking of Mum, I'm looking forward to making this for her for Mother's Day

a tangle of zen...

Pretty much since the first time I tried it, I've loved drawing zentangles. There is something very soothing about the process - I find it a good activity when I want to switch-off & just relax. Something that I do just for the sake of it, because I enjoy it. It's also a very good thing to do when you have to wait somewhere. The amount of time I spend tangling varies, but I pretty much always have one to work on...

foliage & autumn rain...

A rainy beginning to week 2 of my photo project - something of a contrast to week 1. Which is not surprising really, as we are entering the last month of autumn - chill mornings, bright blue-skyed or cool, rainy days, thick socks, long sleeves & cardigans. 

And a touch of autumn colour - not something we get a lot of around here, but the fruit trees, sacred bamboo & crepe myrtles are putting on a bit of a show.
